12/13 November 2007: Conference and Workshop in Vienna

Vienna's conference and workshop, organised by the mica,  ist titled "The fan, the music, and the net. Economic aspects of a passionate relationship in a digital world". It gives an overview on the state of the art of digital music marketing, focusing of the relation of the two end-points of the value chain: The artist and the fan. The emergence of the "Web 2.0" encouraged ways of interaction between them that have not existed in this way before. the music fan is no longer content with the role of the consumer but more and more becomes an active "prosumer", who produces his or her own content, thus assuming the editing and moderation for others.
